How many unmanaged internet connected devices are on your network?  When we say unmanaged, what we mean is ‘agentless’. When you dig deep, it’s actually quite astonishing how many internet connected devices and pieces of equipment are connected to a hospital’s network.

The concerning thing is, that more often than not, these ‘endpoints’ don’t have any security agents applied to them. This leaves them (and the hospital’s network) wide open to cyber attack, the most worrying of all – ransomware.

We recently spoke to Dave Bloomer, Solution Architect at Armis – a company whose sole purpose is to help organisations – particularly in healthcare – identify and then secure all the unmanaged devices that exist on their networks.

In the video below, Dave tells us about the threats posed by IoT in hospitals and reveals one particularly scary example.
