Our Board of Directors

Paul Thomas is the Managing Director and chairs monthly board meetings. Paul, along with the Executive & Non-Executive board members are accountable for the Governance, Risk management, business strategy and the overall sustainability & prosperity of the business.

Glenn Morgan is Chief Professional Services Officer and a main board member at Net Consulting Ltd (NCL). He is responsible for driving the technical deliveries of projects and programmes, whilst overseeing the cyber security and professional services teams to excel NCL technological growth. 

As Finance and HR Director & a main board member at Net Consulting Ltd (NCL), Emyr-Wyn is responsible for financial strategic planning, ensuring successful headroom for growth, promoting employee satisfaction and driving forward-looking organisational initiatives. 

Prior to NCL, Emyr-Wyn held several Finance Director level roles with a range of SMEs within the Manufacturing, Oil and Gas technology sectors, and he played an instrumental role in ensuring significant growth of these companies.  

As a Chief Technology Officer and a main board member of Net Consulting Ltd (NCL), Alan is responsible for driving NCL’s Technology vision and strategy which covers architecture, innovation software development and infrastructure. Working closely with the wider board and senior leadership teams, Alan ensures technical sales enablement and expertise are in place to support future technology, service offerings and business growth. 

Alan’s IT career began with LogicCMG (now CGI) as a Network Engineer specialising in LAN, WAN and Cyber Security. This role provided Alan with a deep understanding of Enterprise Systems, customer engagement, thinking on his feet and working under pressure to achieve customer outcomes. This experience coupled with his broader continual professional development and First-Class Honours degree, enabled Alan to transition into NCL, where he applied Enterprise Architecture techniques to design and build the protype solution that the MOD’s Enterprise Service Management capability is built on today. 

As Chief Revenue Officer and a main board member of Net Consulting Ltd. Tom is responsible for integrating strategy and service offerings with our customers’ business goals and ensuring their success.

Tom joined Net Consulting in 2020, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience in the Ministry of Defence. Tom previously served as the Programme Leader for the MOD’s Independent Service Management capabilities before being promoted to the position of ITSM Tooling Transformation Hd for Defence Digital in 2018.

In 2022, Tom was promoted to Director of Business Development, before moving into the Role of Chief Revenue Officer in 2023.

Tom is dedicated to helping all of Net Consulting’s customers meet their business objectives on time and on budget, ensuring that their stakeholders receive the most value possible.

Our Leadership Team

Paul Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer and a founding partner of Net Consulting Ltd. He is responsible for driving the business performance of the company, formulating, and executing the business strategy, and interacting with clients, employees, and business partners.

Paul has a passion for corporate culture and is driving initiatives to create a ‘one-team’ culture within the company.

Paul first had the idea of starting an independent IT consultancy in 2002 whilst working at Capgemini Ernst & Young, before going on to launch the company in 2006, with support from the Welsh Government. Prior to starting Net Consulting, Paul worked as a Network Consultant at British Steel, before leading the Network Performance Solutions Team within NIS Professional Services of Capgemini Ernst & Young. He was recruited by Netgear prior to their IPO, where he became Director of Telco & ISP Business for EMEA in 2004.

Paul graduated with an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Liverpool in 2010.

As Technical Director of Net Consulting Ltd (NCL), Glenn Morgan is primarily responsible for ensuring the technical delivery of projects and programmes while overseeing the cyber security and professional services teams to achieve these goals. 

Glenn completed his college years with a computer science degree and a PhD in artificial intelligence before cutting his IT teeth in higher education, working on support and implementation services. He then joined Capgemini working for a wide variety of outsourced clients, primarily in a professional services team offering networked application performance monitoring & troubleshooting consultancy.  Glenn worked for Paul Thomas during this period and later joined him to form Net Consulting Ltd. 

As Finance and HR Director, Emyr-Wyn is responsible for all matters within finance including budgeting, management accounts, cashflows, financial statutory requirements, as well as driving employee satisfaction. Bringing more than 15-years’ experience at a senior level, Emyr-Wyn is delighted to transfer his skills and knowledge to have recently started an employee engagement forum that deals directly with matters that employees raise. 

As the Chief Technology Officer, Alan is responsible for leading Net Consulting Ltd’s (NCL), Architecture and BMC practices in addition to providing technical oversight across NCL’s: Digital Services Operations Management; Digital Experience Management; Secure Network Services Infrastructure; and Cyber Security technology pillars. Alan is responsible for evolving NCL’s technology and delivery portfolios through application of research and innovation to translate vendor roadmaps into service improvements that will drive value for NCL’s current and future customers.  

Alan joined the NCL board in 2021, having played a key role in driving growth within our Defence business, where the core team has grown year-on-year, and our delivery teams’ remit has expanded to provide the services required from our Defence customers. This evolution has resulted in NCL enhancing their delivery methodology to focus on business benefits that are realised by our technology services and adoption of recognised Enterprise Architecture practices (TOGAF, MODAF, NAF, etc.). 

Tom Dagger is the Interim Chief Revenue Officer at Net Consulting, where he is responsible for integrating strategy and service offerings with our customers’ business goals and ensuring their success.

Darron Gibbard leads the development and delivery of Net Consulting Ltd.’s cyber security services. With a 30+ year career spanning IT, information and cyber security within enterprise scale technology programmes, he’s a highly capable leader specialising for the last ten years in strategic and operational cyber threat and risk management. 
Darron has in-depth experience of delivering cyber security professional services and defining, building and operating Security Operations Centres for public and private sector clients.

As Director of Defence Services, Mike Pook is Net Consulting Ltd.’s (NCL), global leader and driver of defence operations, carrying with him over 20-years’ experience acquired from the technology industry.  

Mike has a strong background in operational leadership and in-depth knowledge of incident and problem management. He’s managed diverse teams of system administrators, DBAs and applications support engineers to provide incident management for all areas of IT. 

His knowledge base is broad, covering applications (Oracle ERP, Supply Chain, Oracle Financials, Sales, Service Operations), Operations and Governance and best of practice business process skills. He’s passionate about IT and focused on leading high performing teams to meet customer goals. 

Mike is currently leading NCL’s MOD Service Delivery into ISS, delivering the MOD’s Service Management Tooling 

Jonathan Ryan is the Head of Commercial & Business Operations at Net Consulting, with responsibility for leading the company through the commercial landscape. Jonathan sits on Net Consulting’s Strategy & Defence Boards, contributing to the organisation’s strategic direction. 

Jonathan joined Net Consulting in 2013, taking up the post of Head of Marketing. Prior to Net Consulting, Jonathan held senior Marketing and Strategy positions at Alcatel-Lucent (acquired by Nokia) and PA Consulting Group. 

Jonathan holds an MBA with Distinction from Cardiff University and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Management with specialisation in Finance from Swansea University. 

As Head of Marketing & Communications, Ralph is responsible for planning, executing, and managing how Net Consulting Ltd. (NCL) presents itself to customers, partners, and other stakeholders, as well as to the internal workforce. 

With an educational background in PR, Ralph’s career to date has involved aspects of both marketing and communications. At NCL, he leads our marketing strategy and is the creative mind behind marketing content, brand identity, and the company’s tone-of-voice. 

Ralph also has a keen interest in internal communication, company culture and staff engagement. As such, he also leads our internal communication strategy, ensuring employee voice is facilitated and that steps are taken to foster the best company culture possible. 

Ralph holds a first-class honour degree in Public Relations from the University of Greenwich and has an Advanced Certificate in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). Ralph has also completed the CIPR’s Specialist Diploma in Internal Communications. 

Redmond Todd-Bennett is Head of Application Services at Net Consulting Ltd. (NCL). He is responsible for implementing the Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Digital Experience Management (DEM) strategy, overseeing the delivery of these services to our customers. 

Having achieved First Class Honours in Computer Science from Cardiff University, Red joined Net Consulting in 2015 as a Graduate APM Consultant. He primarily worked in the Tooling Exploit team within our Defence customer leading Incident and Problem investigations from an APM perspective. 

He worked on several projects during critical MOD operations, troubleshooting network or application issues and developing APM solutions for the frontline commands to assure communications. 

Having quickly progressed to Principal Consultant, Red successfully led the APM team within our Defence business before promotion into his current role in July 2022. 

Our Finance & HR Team

As Senior HR Manager, Mari promotes and drives the People Engagement and People Processes at Net Consulting Ltd (NCL). Mari is responsible for supporting employees through all stages of the employee life cycle at Net Consulting Limited. With an educational background in Psychology, Mari has a passion for employee wellbeing and creating the best possible culture and employee experience at NCL.  

  With experience working in fast growing Tech organisations, Mari is CIPD Level 5 qualified in HR Management and is dedicated to delivering the best possible HR service to ensure we attract and retain the best talent to support business goals. 

Fiona is Recruitment Manager at Net Consulting Ltd and is responsible for developing and managing the full recruitment life cycle service (permanent and associate resources) within defence private and public sector. 

With over 20 years’ experience, she has successfully built a robust reputation within the industry, partially with the recruitment of specialised roles in a variety of sectors. A highly effective communicator with business development, negotiation, and account management skills. Her successful career has allowed her to demonstrate her commitment & achievement to the positions she has held whilst allowing her to take “time out” to raise a family. 

Fiona has built strong relationships with the heads of departments to understand their recruitment needs and to recruit suitable employees. She finds it very rewarding being part of the current company growth performance and forward strategy plan.
