VEGA Consulting Services Ltd: HRMS End to End Performance Monitoring

THE CHALLENGE

VEGA Group PLC (VEGA), the specialist professional services company, won a pilot study to provide an end-to-end performance measurement for the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) Human Resources Management System (HRMS), the first MoD service to be measured so extensively.

THE SOLUTION

VEGA worked on the study in partnership with Net Consulting to leverage our extensive industry experience delivering network and business application performance modelling, capacity planning, and technical consulting services.

The study looked at the availability of the system and the response time of each specific enquiry, and then reported on areas for improvement. Together, the companies measured the performance of the HRMS applications operating on a user’s terminal, from the initial information request through to the final transaction received back from the HMRS server.

The end-to-end performance measurement provided metrics to the MOD from which they were able to determine how the HMRS and its applications are truly performing.
