Application-Centric Services
Deployment of new mission-critical business applications used to be a combination of meticulous implementation and hope. Predicting how an application will perform over a WAN link used to be impossible without actually testing over a WAN, until now. The current generation of application analysis tools can predict performance over a range of network conditions and even isolate particular requests that are contributing most to any performance delay. Often, throwing additional hardware resource or network capacity will only make minimal improvements unless the root cause of the issue is identified and addressed. Similar root-cause analysis can be performed for applications which are already in the live environment, and are suffering performance problems.
Net Consulting’s application-centric services take the form of self-contained projects, handling the requirements analysis and providing the tools & expertise necessary to give confidence that a new application will function as it should from day one.
Why risk the cost of potential implementation failure when that risk can be avoided?

The application-centric services for pre-deployment fit in as extra loops in the normal application development cycle. The services are designed to assess the suitability of the application for running over WAN links, and to estimate the additional network loads that would be generated by the proposed user base. This information can be fed back into the development cycle for amendments until the desired performance goals are met.
The services for post-deployment are for applications which are already in use across the Enterprise. These are concerned with performance monitoring to meet SLA requirements, troubleshooting ongoing & intermittent slow responses, and estimating the impact of infrastructure change. Again, the post-deployment services are extra loops in the cycle of business change driving infrastructure and systems change.
